After a few hrs of sleep off again with our intrepid guide,couldn't have looked more like tourists if we tried!
Walked around for the first part of the day at least 10 kms ,the queues were really bad!
Chelsea and Joel got into St Peters but poor Chelsea had bare shoulders so she had to wear her raincoat,she sweltered in the church!!!
On the way into Rome came across a new site,full on dig! It backed onto the 600 meter area where Maximus held the chariot races!

The left over piece of bridge on the right was built in 25BC ,not a lot left but no wonder!!!

After a long day and not much rest,a shower,dinner then Chelsea and Joel put the 2 little babies to bed and the 2 big babies and they ventured back to the Colosseum to see it in the night all lit up ! A bottle of wine and tiramisu ! Off on train to Sorrento tomorrow! Chow Roma!!
