Left Rome at 8 am but before we got to train station to use our euro pass ,I left my ipad in the apartment !
Thankyou Guiseppe for being only 10 mins away and for arranging our taxis,in peak hour traffic, ipad back in my hand we ventured to Termini Station, well an experience in itself,we paid 10 euro to a guy who was watching out for tourists like us that didn't leave themselves enough time to validate tickets!!! It was well worth the AUD $15!
We stayed at a lovely apartment in Rome that we booked through a site airbnb.com ,excellent site!
Ok back to the rain, high speed to Naples then a shit local train stopping at ever station to Sorrento, stood up most of the way for 1 hr and twenty mins, not so good! 2 hrs of train travel all up arriving at 12.20 aprox, hot footed to a restaurant for lunch and the ventured onto the Sita bus for a windy 9 km trip to the Gocci Di Capri resort!
Pic above is a quick snap along the way to Sorrento!
Poor Eddison projectile vomited on the bus ,not so good and then we left a bag on the bus,so up the hill to the resort who were just great, the guy tracked down our bag!! A quick dip in he pool to get rid of the days grime and we were back to normal!!!
Pool are of resort, very old resort but exceptional hosts and very clean!
Our view,the Isle of Capri.
A lovely dinner in the restaurant,Chelsea,Joel ,the boys and I are off to Capri, tomorrow,Buck our intrepid leader has decided on a day of rest!Back down the road to Sorrento ,Chels took Eddison in hand and he managed not to be sick!
Weather is really humid!
A quick coffee and croissant before we go down to port to catch the ferry across to Capri!
Down towards the port! Ferry ride was a bit choppy, both Grammy and Eddison needed to be managed!!!!! yuck !
Capri!
That's not me !
Rest of family had a swim! I decided to venture up,up and up to the Capri Centrale,40 mins later and far too many steps to remember I arrived! I am now the stair master!!!!
Half way there!!!
5 star hotel in the town!
Well back to Resort, another dip in the pool and finished off last of lemoncello we bought!
The home of lemoncello, what a find!!!! Just down the hill from our resort!!
Lemon trees,Judy you would be impressed with their shade cloth use !!
Ok cheers guys off to Bologna tomorrow Thursday 12th !

Oh lovely photos. It really IS gorgeous, the Amalfi coast. You did well to get ipad & bag back. And yes, th is a well-known con: the "helpers" at the train stations (all over Italy!). Buon viaggio! Pam
