Wednesday18th....onto Gay Paris

Another big day of travel, hire car back to Niece,a short time to grab a coffee the on the local train to Marseille, onto a fast train to Paris Gare Lyon station....

Weather is still warm as we travel along the coast for the first leg then inland north towards Paris.I would like a dollar or should I say a euro for every olive tree I have seen, countryside is so lovely to look at!

Eddion is now asleep and Hadley has had a play with Papa Buck ,a feed from mama, ready for a snooze!

After leaving our wonderful hosts who invited Chelsea in to play their grand piano last night, coming down the hill Chelsea clicked me a happy snap of the local "Caravan Park" ,seems to be a lot of smaller motor homes and I did see a tiny van being pulled but we won't be shipping ours over as the roads are so narrow!

Same set up as in Australia, kiosk at the front but a lot smaller area, quite a few dotted in the villages of the Provence!

Arrived in Paris at 7pm ,relatively eastpy transfer from Gare Lyon station to the apartment 2.4 kms away about 12 euro ,so much easier and worth it for amount of luggage we are carrying!!!! Plus a double pram!!!

The apartment is in a great area Le Marais, very historic but our apartment is very old,but quaint although a bathroom wasn't working and we have had an interesting lot of emails too and from and through airbnb website that we used!! Our host Nadia was at the far end of the arrogant French and we have had some INTERESTING conversations,we won out in the end with a 30 percent rebate as the site said there were 2 bathrooms and you have to walk in and out the one we used to turn around!!

Night time fom the apartment building!!

Evacuate whole apartment would be the go!!

Interesting power set up!!!!

Thursday 19th September.... Our day begins we're off, first stop down to the river Siene,a long walk ,lunch was in order!

Which way do we go?!

Notre Dame, cleaned since we were here last,I sat and watched the throngs of people with Eddison asleep while others went inside, been there done that!

Views along the way!

Beautiful array in the florists stores!

The Parisian way of doing a hamburger!

Mine was delicious, the odd ball out,no hamburger for me,rose seems to be the way to go!

On the way to tge Louvre, always happy to visit there as you could loose yourself forever!

This time around, found the Eygyption artifacts !

Onto the Apollo room!

Extremely ornate but beautiful!

After a long day and a lot of walking we trekked back to apartment,a quick shower, back out to dinner, home to bed, late again L'opera de snore!!! By our intrepid leader and Joel!

Friday 20th September...

After not much sleep due to the above opera performance we ventured out again ,Buck off to the war museum,Joel off to the Eiffel Tower and Chelsea and I and the boys a stroll around as we have done the Eiffel thing, meet the guys at the Eiffel at 1pm!

War museum along the way!

Padlocks on the bridges crossing the river depicting love affairs!!!

Intrepid leader is having a turn with the baby bjourn!

Aussie baby having a breat feed under the Eiffel Tower!!!

Then.... We found the carousel ,wonderful!

Walk to the arc de triumphe ,the boys were agog with the NO TRAFFIC RULES,just get in a circle and go for it!

Best thing to do get in a motor driven French tuk tuk and get the music turned up loud and sing our way through the streets of Paris, driver was amused and so were we and the Parisians that managed to put a smile on their faces!!!!

Eating in tonight ,boys have gone down for a drink at the pub!!

Picking up food from deli on the way back! Early to bed tonight as we are off to London tomorrow on the train through the tunnel!!!

Good bye Paris,merci beau coup!!

Aribeau Tuesday 17th

Quiet morning then Chelsea and I were driven down to the local village to have lunch and a bit of a break!

We sat opposite on the terrace, looking out over Grasse.Chelsea had the duck and I had the veal ,crepes for sweets and a glass of wine ! Tres Bon !!

Before lunch we walked through he alleys looking at the houses, few B an B s as we'll,good to know for future reference!

Windy night last night but hazy and glarey today!

Our view from the terrace during lunch!

The other local restaurant!

Pic below has this sign above it!

Lovely mural for the town on the same wall as the plaque!

I think I've developed a fetish for entrances!

Should have stuck up Australia but I couldn't find a spare plank lying around!!

Pots of all sizes,hanging around!

Found another muggy!

Came across the local village cemetery and couldn't resist opening the gate and going in,tiny but very interesting!

A monument for the soldiers,"A child of France died for his country "

Local water stop, find these a lot in Italy as well, water is old and tastes great!!!

Look at the window to the right of the orange bordered window, can you make out what it is?!

Bonjour, here I ' is,he or she sat perched looking out ,every now and again would get a bit excited with whomever walked by, I held my breath thinking it might fall out,but it wandered in and out on window sill like it had been doing it for years! Amazing!

Entrance to a local hotel that Madonna often hires out,Chelsea went in the night we arrived for directions, people sitting in their finery having dinner and Chelsea rocks up in her flip flops, parlait vous anglais, need google ,we are lost! They were great and we were on our way although she couldn't get over the live horse inside the hotel restaurant, but her father had horse shit on his shoes so we believed her!!!!!
